Thirty Years Ago (From Madisonian of Oct. 5, 1881)

Mrs. Wm. Heffstoff died on last Saturday. Her husband preceded her but a few weeks.

Transcriber's note: There is no mention of any person named "Heffstoff" in Madison County records nor on Ancestry or Find-A-Grave. The name published in the Madisonian may be a corruption of some other name but a search of the 1880 census plus death and cemetery records has turned up nothing remotely close.
