MEMORIAL SERVICE

A very large congregation assembled on Sabbath afternoon at the college chapel to show respect to the memory of Mr. William E. Brock.

After prayer, that beautiful song "Asleep in Jesus" was sung followed by reading of the scripture. The president of the college gave a short biography of Mr. Brock, complimenting very highly, his career in the college as a Christian gentleman and student. Resolutions of respect adopted by the students were read after which a student, Rev. Mr. Everly, made a short and very appropriate address. Further scripture readings and remarks were made by the President. Another song was sung, a prayer offered by the Rev. W.C. Martin, which closed the very solemn and impressive exercises.

This is the only death of a student that has occurred for a long time. Mr. Brock was a very amiable young man of fine promise. Mis Ella Brock, sister of the deceased was present.
