Death of Elmer Feely

Thomas Elmer Feely a former resident of this county, died at his home in Denver, Friday, November 25th, after a short illness with pneumonia, Mr. Feely was 64 years of age, and was bornin Scott Township.

April 6th, 1880 he was married to Mis Clara Orr, and they made their home in this county until in 1911. They lived in Colorado five years and then returned here. For a number of years, Mr. Feely conducted a meat market here. Several years ago, they returned to Colorado, and recently has been employed by the Industrial Building and Loan association of Denver.

Mr. Feely leaves his wife and two daughters, Mrs. Beulah McBride and Mrs. Josephine F. Doane of Denver, and two sisters. Mrs. W. C. Harrell of Hastings, Nebraska and Mrs. Myrtle Orr of Winterset.

Funeral services were held at Denver and burial was made there. More particulars of his life may be found in the mortuary column.

Mortuary - Thomas Elmer Feely

Thomas Elmer Feely, formerly of Madison county, passed away at his home at 2388 Holly Street, Denver, Colorado, November 25, 1932. He was born in Scott township, Madison county, Iowa, December 27, 1868. His parents were Rev. Thomas and Roseann Feely. Many of the older generation will remember Rev. Thomas Feely as an old time Methodist minister.

April 6th, 1890, he was united in marriage to Mis Clara Orr, daughter of George and Katherine Orr, who were favorably and extensively known throughout Madison county.

Mr. Feely spent his life near the place of his birth until 1911, when he with his family moved to Colorado, where they lived for five years when they returned to the old Iowa home. After a few years, the sunshine, the azure sky and that great handiwork of the Creator, the mountains again lured them to Colorado.

Mr. Feely leaves his wife and two daughters, Mrs. Beulah McBride and Mrs. Josephine F. Doane of Denver, and two sisters. Mrs. W. C. Harrell of Hastings, Nebraska and Mrs. Myrtle Orr of Winterset.

He was sometime employed by the Globe Bank of Denver, but of later years and until his decease he was in the employ of the Industrial Building and Loan association of Denver.

HIs illness was very brief, pneumonia, prior to which he had enjoyed excellent health. Interment is made at beautiful Fairmont cemetery in Denver.
