Mary Ellen Roach Jagerson, 79, of the 4200 block of Franklin Avenue died of a respiratory ailment Friday at Fleur Heights Care Center. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Christian Church in Granger. Cremation will follow services, burial of the cremains will be private.
Mrs. Jagerson was born in Madison County and had lived in Woodward 25 years before moving to Des Moines In 1976. She was a homemaker and had worked for Mass Mutual Insurance Co. and the Visiting Nurses Association before retiring.
She was a member of Unity Church of Des Moines and Order of the Eastern Star Faithful Chapter. She enjoyed reading, genealogy and family activities.
She is survived by a daughter, G. "Sue" Wilson of Kansas City, Mo.; a brother, John Alvin Roach of Carlisle; and a grandchild. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Westover Funeral Home.
