Funeral services for Ella K. Petersen, 85, were at 10 a.m. Friday, October 11, 1974, in Carson Funeral Home, Ogden. The Rev. George Krengel officiated. Burial was in the Winterset Cemetery at Winterset.
Mrs. Petersen died Wednesday, October 9, in the Iowa Lutheran Home at Perry.
Mrs. Kirk Donelson provided organ music.
Casket bearers were Howard Muench, Orville Peters, Eugene Jones, Les Tourte, Ray Hansen and John Hasstedt.
Mrs. Petersen was born August 20, 1889 in Crawford County, the daughter of Andrew and Anna Kahler. She moved to Schleswig in 1914 and she lived there until 1947 when she moved to Greene County. She married William Petersen, February 27, 1947 in Paton. They lived in the Paton area until 1968, then retired to Ogden.
Survivors include one brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. William Kahler of Denison; and two nieces, Mrs. Helen Williams and Mrs. Arthur Schroeder, both of Chicago.
Preceding her in death were her husband, parents, one sister, one brother and one nephew.
