Carl W. Doerr, 87, of Winterset, passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2023 at the Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset.

Carl was born April 1, 1936 in Yankton, South Dakota, the son of Rudolf W. and Caroline (Malley) Doerr. He graduated high school and spent time in the California Army Reserve. He was united in marriage to Rose Kingery on July 12, 1985 in San Jacinto, California.

Carl moved to Winterset in 2005, from Hemet, California. He was a commercial and industrial electrician for many years.

He is survived by his wife, Rose of Winterset; sons, Michael (Monica) Doerr of Wisconsin, William Jr. (Patty) Doerr of Illinois, and Douglas Doerr of California; step-daughter, Shellie Riley of Arizona; sisters, Marie Ann Roe, Charlotte Selix, and Margaret Fetcho; 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Carl was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Franklin Delano Doerr.

Private family services will be held.
