Howard Coffman of Waukee, Iowa, passed away August 9th, 2023, at Perry Lutheran Homes. There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at the Community Center in Earlham, Iowa, from 12-2 PM where his family will be having a luncheon in his honor.

Howard was born on September 16, 1950, to Orville and Janet Coffman of Earlham. He graduated from Earlham High School in 1968. He loved fishing, hunting, and playing sports including bowling, fast pitch softball, and golf. He loved watching his children and grandchildren playing sports and taking them fishing. He worked for Central Iowa Home Builders as a carpenter. He also worked at Von Maur.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Staci; children Gary (Pamela) of Earlham, Kristi Casey of Lamoni, Steven (Trisha) of Van Meter; stepdaughters Amber (John) Thorne of Adel, Katie (Rusty) Ozimek of Des Moines; grandchildren: Kyle (Chelsea) Coffman, Kelsey Coffman, Bobbi Jo (Randy) Owens, Stephanie Fontana, Joey Fontana, Cody Coffman, Trenton Marks, Brittany Marks, John Thorne, Maci Thorne, Madison Ozimek, Colin Ozimek; great grandchildren: Athéné Owens, Olivia Owens, Laken Coffman; and brothers: Richard and Raymond.

Howard was preceded in death by his mother Janet, father Orville, sister Becky, and brother Gene.
