Wednesday, September 27, 2023Billy Weltha lost his battle with alcoholism and lung cancer on Sept. 18, 2023. Billy was born Feb. 16, 1951, to Bill and Jeneta Weltha. Billy was blessed with an older brother, Steve; and younger siblings, Donnie, Roger, Lana, Lynn, Gina, and Brenda.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Steve and Donnie. He is survived by his ex wife, Carole; along with their children, Amanda and BJ; his siblings, Roger, Lana, Lynn, Gina, and Brenda; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, many cousins, and aunts and uncles.
Billy was known for his extraordinary sense of humor, his passion for the natural world, fishing, and his ability to fix just about anything.
There will be a remembrance service Friday, Sept. 29, at 10 a.m. at the north shelter at Winterset City Park.
