The funeral of Mrs. Carroll of Red Oak was held in the Methodist church here Saturday with burial in the Moon cemetery. She was formerly Mrs. Frank Farlin of the Kasson vicinity.

Weekend guests in the Clark Farlin home were Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Dice, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Farlin of Flint, Michigan; and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Pauley of Stella, Missouri, who came to attend the funeral of their mother, Mrs. Blanche Farlin Carroll, which was held at Macksburg, Saturday, February 9th.
Mr. and Mrs. Pauley and Mr. and Mrs. Clark Farlin were entertained at Sunday dinner in the Kenneth Farlin home at Earlham after which they spent the afternoon with Mr. and Mrs. Laurence Gardner in Des Moines.

Funeral arrangements are pending here for Mrs. Blanche Carroll, 74, former Red Oak resident, who died this morning at Clarinda. Perryman-Nelson Service is in charge and burial will be in the Moon Cemetery at Macksburg.
The daughter of Luke and Catherine Hopkins, she was born April 5, 1882, at Villisca and was married in 1901 to Frank Farlin, who died in 1946. In 1947 she was married to Jess Carroll, who died in 1950. She had lived at Council Bluffs and Lorimor and resided here from 1948 to 1952.
She is survived by a son, Earl Farlin, Flint, Mich.; two daughters, Mrs. Florence E. Dice of Flint, Mich., and Mrs. Enid Pauley of Stella, Mo.; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Mrs. Maud Shay, Kansas City, Kan.
