It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Earl Clarence Kordick. He was born Oct. 6, 1935, to Albert and Elizabeth (Bindel) Kordick at home in Scott Township, Madison County, Iowa, and graduated from WHS class of 1953. He passed away on July 21, 2023. He was a beloved brother, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend. He lived a life of faith, love, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to family.
Earl is lovingly remembered by his children Elizabeth Brinkmann (Joe), Janice Hobein (Mike), John Kordick (the late Chris), Audrey Knobbe (Jay), Thomas Kordick (Jenn) and Mary Morris (Gary). He is also remembered by his grandchildren Rory, Trevor, Robert & Nick Brinkmann, Dan, Vincent and Patrick Hobein, Ashley and Dawn Kordick, Tyler, Kelsey, Jessie and Kari Knobbe, Sam, Ben and Eileen Kordick and Michael Schweppe; as well as his many great grandchildren; his sister, Eileen (Dean) Moore; brother, Glenn ( Kathleen) Kordick and sister-in-law, Jeanne Kordick. Earl was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known him. His enduring faith through suffering, losses and challenges was a great inspiration to us. His loss leaves a void that can’t be filled but his life leaves a legacy that will endure. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers Wayne Kordick and Harold Zbierski; and his sister,, Lorene Moore.
A memorial service will be held Oct. 20 at Ascension - Little Church, (230 Santa Maria Dr., Chesterfield, MO.) at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to either the Catholic Archdiocese of St. Louis or American Parkinson Disease Association Missouri Chapter.
