Former Resident Dies In State Of Montana

Mrs. Thomas G. Burt, age 58, died in a hospital in Miles City, Montana, following a short illness. Mrs. Burt was a resident of Madison county for twenty-four years.

Hattie Pindell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Madison Pindell, was born in Webster township on April 6, 1885. She received her education in the schools of Macksburg, graduating in 1903. She taught in the rural schools of Madison county until in September 1909, when she was married to Dr. Thomas G. Burt of Kittaning, Pennsylvania.

They made their home in Gooton, South Dakota for a number of years and Mrs. Burt homesteaded 160 acres near Vanada, Montana. Later they moved to California, which has been her home for many years.

She is survived by her husband; one daughter, Jean; two brothers, Allie Pindell of Macksburg, and Dr. Merle Pindell of California; one sister, Elizabeth of Vanada, Montana; and many other relatives, and a host of friends in Madison county.
