Barbara Ann Breen, 69, passed away November 29, 2014. A memorial service will be held Friday December 19 at St. Mark Lutheran Church in West Des Moines at 3:00. Visitation will begin at 2:00.

Barbara was born August 2, 1945 to Earl and Esther Stifel of West Des Moines. She graduated from Valley High School and continued to live in the metro area. She spent many years as an office professional and in 1981 began working for the United States Postal System. During this time she was a proud member of the American Postal Workers Union and spent many years as a union steward. She retired after 25 years of service in 2006.

Barbara married Daniel Joseph Breen in May 1998, and their union endured until Dan passed in June of 2014. She is also preceded in death by her parents Earl and Esther and her only sister Beverly. She is survived only by her friends in life and 3 beloved cats.

Any memorial gifts may be directed to the Animal Rescue League in remembrance of her true love of animals.
