Death of Mrs. Dowding

Mrs. J. H. Dowding, former resident of Winterset, died Friday morning in Des Moines. Services were held Saturday afternoon and the burial was at Cherokee.

Mrs. Dowding was the mother of Mrs. Ida Darrah, also a former resident. The Dowdings during their residence here built the home on south Fourth avenue now owned by Mrs. Martin Kirk. Mrs. Ed Embree was in Des Moines Saturday afternoon to attend the services.

Deaths – Mrs. Belle Dowding

Committal services for Mrs. Belle Dowding, 86, who died Friday morning at Des Moines were held at 3 o’clock Monday afternoon at Oak Hill cemetery. Rev. W. O. Dailey conducted services. Appleyard & Boothby funeral home was in charge.
