Mrs. Mary Strong

Mary Belle Bishop, daughter of William and Mary Bishop, was born in Winterset April 6, 1860 and died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Edith Frakes, at Dekalb, Missouri. Born and raised in Winterset, she was married to Stephenson Washington Strong. Eleven children were born to them of whom three are dead.

Mrs. Strong had been in failing health several years and was bedfast the last two years. Since the death of her husband more than a year ago, she made her home with her daughter. Services and burial were at Dekalb.

Two brothers, Cain and Abe Bishop of Winterset, and two sisters survive, besides her family, one son, Arthur R. Strong, lives in Winterset.
