Mrs. Hector J. Munn

PORT TOWNSEND – Pearl M. Munn, 71, long –time horsewoman and lover of the outdoors, died at St. John’s Hospital in Port Townsend just after 10 a.m. Sunday.

Born at Winterset, Iowa on Aug 19, 1896, she was the daughter of Alpheus and Julia E. Maxwell Bond. She was reared at Winterset and attended school there. She later moved to Big Sandy, Mont., where she homesteaded with her parents.

She was married to Hector J. Munn on April 3, 1920 in Great Falls, Mont. And moved in 1923 to Leland, where she has resided since. Her husband died in 1965.

Mrs. Munn was a member of the Brinnon Community Church and past Matron of Eastern Star, a member of the Grange, Quilcene Garden Club and Leland Community Improvement Club.

Mrs. Munn is survived by two sons, Robert N. Munn of Leland and Hector J. Munn of Newburg, Ore.; a foster son, Roderick S. Dalgardno of Port Angeles; two daughters , Helen Bury of Jamestown, Pa. and Mary Beth Munn of Leland; 12 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. today at First Presbyterian Church in Quilcene, the Rev. Robert Daniels officiating. Burial was in Quilcene Cemetery.
