We are devastated to announce the passing of Dean Russell Kleis, 54, of Grinnell, Iowa passed away unexpectedly on December 31st 2022. Dean was born on February 3rd 1968 in San Diego, California. In 1982, Dean met Carrie in Allerton, Iowa. Dean and Carrie went on to have two children, Jacob and Zakkary.

Dean was a tough loving man whose life motto was “family first” and cherished his family and friends more than anything else in the world. His love for music and adventure took him to countless concerts and to create and jam music with family and friends.

Services will be held at Merle Hay Chapel on Thursday, January 12th 2023 at 10:00 AM. Burial will be at Saint Charles Cemetery at 12:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, there is a gofundme for Carrie to help support her during these difficult times.
