Lemuel Thornbrugh died at his home in North Topeka, Kansas, last Thursday of paralysis. While in Winterset several years ago he suffered a slight stroke and his death resulted from the second one.
Mr. Thornbrugh was a brother of Cass Thornbrugh, of Scott township. and lived near Winterset all his life until he removed to Topeka nine years ago. He came with his parents in the fall of 1846, the first year of settlement of the county, when only one year old. He was a genial, quiet man and was known to all the old settlers. He was unmarried.
The funeral and interment were at Topeka.
