William P. Fagen, well known in Des Moines and Winterset and for several years a prominent business man here, died at Donna, Texas, Tuesday, May 5th, at the age of sixty-four years.
Mr. Fagen lived most of his life in Des Moines, being a son of Hezekiah Fagen, one of Des Moines’ earliest and most prominent citizens, also a brother of the late J. E. Fagen and E. B. Fagen, both well known in Des Moines. Mr. Fagen married Lottie B. Horning, a daughter of one of the pioneers. On account of failing health he, with his family, moved to Donna where he has since lived.
He is survived by his wife, Lottie B. Horning Fagen, four sons, Homer Fagen of Des Moines; Dr. Rodney Fagen, a physician of Sioux City; dale Fagen, of New Mexico and Percy Fagen, who with his two daughters, Ada and Helen, was with him at Donna at the time of his death.
Mr. Fagen was a good man and held the respect of all who knew him. He will be greatly missed. Burial will take place at Donna, Texas.
