Transcriber's note: The digital image of the Winterset News obituary was missing about 1/3 of its left side and the full obituary was pieced together from what was there and what appeared in the Madisonian. The "58 years" she lived in Madison County is incorrect as is the "48 years" of surviving her husband. She was living as a widow with her three daughters in 1856 in Jefferson County, Iowa and was in Madison County in 1860 and beyond.
