Kenneth See

Kenneth See, 94, of Winterset, passed away on Monday, September 19, 2022 with his family by his bedside.

Kenneth was born in Des Moines, Iowa on December 23, 1927, the son of Frank and Ella See. He graduated from East High School in December of 1945 and joined the Navy in January 1946, where he served as a fireman. He married Joanne Ford on May 6, 1951 and they had four children.

Ken was a roofing contractor for See and Sons Roofing until 1969 and continued to roof until retirement in 1992. He was active in the Knights of Columbus. He was an avid reader and was a frequent visitor of the Winterset Public Library. He said the staff there were the most important people in town. His family was most important to him and enjoyed family gatherings surrounded by them.

Ken is survived by a son, John; daughters, Susan See and Dorothy Kellogg; grandchildren, Andrew Snyder, Renee Kellogg, and Michael Kellogg; and great-grandchildren, Thomas and Mya Snyder.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Joanne; daughter, MaryAnne Snyder; sons-in-law, Terry Snyder and Dan Kellogg; and brothers.
