Louis Chambers was born in New Jersey March 27, 1828 and died near Brookings, South Dakota November 2, age 83 years 7 months 5 days.
He was married in 1853 to Mary Hollingsworth who died in 1862. Four children were born to this union, Louis H. of Burlington, Alice and Laura of Dawson and Anna who resides in Oklahoma. In 1865 he married Sarah Fox who died February 20, 1908. Three children were born to them, Josephine of Middle River, Richard who died in infancy and Willis of Brookings, South Dakota.
Funeral services were held at Webster Saturday, November 4, 1911 conducted by Rev. L. F. Davis of Winterset.
