Jay D. Ruggles, 54, of Des Moines died on November 20, 2015 at Taylor House Hospice. He was born to Donald and Carolyn Ruggles on July 2, 1961 in Des Moines. Jay graduated from Lincoln High School, class of 1979. He enjoyed fishing, Hawkeye football, being outdoors, playing Aggravation, and he especially loved his family.

Jay is survived by his mother, Carolyn Ruggles; son, Ryan (Janna) Ruggles; daughter, Jamie Ruggles; grandson, Jaryn Ruggles; brother, Jeff (Joan) Ruggles; twin sister, Julie (Randy) Gamble; nieces, Chelsey and Katie Gamble; nephews, Joshua and Jacob Ruggles, Cory Gamble; and a host of extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his father, Donald.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at Merle Hay Funeral Home, 4400 Merle Hay Rd, Des Moines.
