Mearl, son of N. J. and Viola Wood, died at the parental home, four miles north of Donley, on the evening of Monday, march 27, aged about fifteen years. Death resulted from Bright’s disease of the kidneys, after a long sickness, the child having been in poor health ever since he was about twelve years old.
He leaves father, mother, three brothers and one sister to mourn his untimely death.
The funeral services were held at the home Wednesday morning at 9 o’clock. The remains were taken to St. Charles for burial.

Mr. and Mrs. James Woods, of Pleasantville, accompanied the remains of their boy, who died Tuesday morning of last week, to St. Charles Wednesday, where the body was laid to rest in the St. Charles cemetery. The boy had suffered for some time from kidney trouble and the end was not unexpected.
Mrs. M. J. Black returned to Pleasantville with her daughter, Mrs. James Woods, where she will visit indefinitely.
