Winterset, IowaCraig Ridout, 59, of Waukee, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, June 24, 2022.
A memorial service will take place at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 2, 2022 at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home, Winterset Chapel with a visitation one hour prior. Burial will take place at a later date. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family for a future designation. Online condolences may be left to the family at caldwellparrish.com.
Craig was born on October 17, 1962 to Raymond and Linda (Cresap) Ridout in Greenfield, Iowa. He graduated from Winterset High School in 1981. In his early years, he lived in the Kansas City area for 25 years prior to moving back to Iowa. Over the course of his life, he worked in sales for Swisher International.
Craig was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan and wouldn’t miss a game. He loved being outdoors, hunting and fishing, and playing cards, especially pitch. He was a proud owner of his Iowa farm in Union County. Craig was also a connoisseur of music, especially classic rock. He loved his family, especially his nieces and nephews.
Craig is survived by his mother, Linda Spencer of West Des Moines; brother, Kevin (Betty) Ridout of Cumming; sister, Kris (Kevin) Nielsen of Colfax; step-mother, Betty Ridout of Greeley, CO; step-brother, Brandon Hubbs of Greeley, CO; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Ridout; step-father, Jerry Spencer; brother, Kenny Ridout; step-brother, Ron Hubbs; and grandparents, Wayne and Flossie Ridout, and Everett and Eloise Cresap.
