OLD SETTLER DIES.

Rev. Wood, Former Pastor of Redfield, Dies in Kansas.

Rev. William Drennen Wood was born in Illinois, March 6, 1832, and died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Emma W. Richardson, at 63 East High street, Cherryvale, Kansas, November 30, 1907.

He was married in 1855 to Miss Melissa Bristow, who was spared to give him the Kerry required during years of suffering, and now survives him, as do their four children, a son who lives in Kansas City, and three daughters, two of whom live in Texas. All but one daughter will attend the funeral services tomorrow.

Mr. Wood was ordained to the work of the ministry in the Cumberland Presbyterian church more than fifty years ago. For about thirty-five years he followed his location in Iowa and Missouri with such earnestness and zeal that his work lives after him in the lives of hundreds who were won to the righteousness by his efforts.

About fifteen years ago he was stricken with paralysis, since which time he has not only been a constant sufferer, but a helpless invalid. – Cherryvale, Kansas paper.

Mr. and Mrs. Wood formerly resided in Douglas township. He was a noted minister in his day. After selling his farm he moved to Bethany, Missouri, and afterwards to Indianola.
