Former White Sulphur Woman Dies in Spokane

White Sulphur Springs, Jan. 28. - Word has been received here of the death of Mrs. Eva Wright, 77, on January 15 at the home of her son, Louis Wright, in Spokane, Wash.

She was born June, 1866, at Winterset, Iowa, and was married to Lewis L. Wright in 1890, coming to Montana the same year.

They lived in Utica, at Martinsdale and at Copperopolis in Meagher county when those places were first settled, and moved to White Sulphur Spring in 1920. In 1936, Mrs. Wright retired from the restaurant business here and went to live with her children.

Surviving are three sons, Jack Wright of Burke, Idaho; Louis O. Wright and Edward D. Wright of Spokane; three daughters, Mrs. Ben Willey of Sioux City, Iowa, Mrs. Fred Catron of O'Neill, Neb., and Mrs. Dwight Darrell of Ogden, Utah; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Interment was in Riverside Park cemetery in Spokane.

Transcriber note: In 2022, a great-grandson provided these corrected dates: the day of her death was January 14, her marriage took place in 1891, and her move to Montana took place in 1892.
