Richard Michael Howard

Richard Michael Howard was born to Wayne and Catherine Howard on November 20, 1958. He passed away on February 7, 2022.

He spent many of his days traveling gravel roads throughout Madison County with good friend Norm Rockey and graduated in 1977 from Interstate 35 High School. Richard married Marchele McIntosh on October 31, 1983 and joined their two families together; Richard's son Nick Howard and Marchele's children Frank T Sposeto III, Tiffiny Jo (Sposeto) Poage, and Alex P Sposeto. They raised their four children in St Charles, IA. During his career, he initially worked for 31 years for National Gas and Pipeline located in Truro. After semi-retirement, he worked for various companies as a welder and a truck driver. Richard took great comfort in his furry children, Tootsie and Kia, catering to their every whims; Kia enjoyed fresh eggs for breakfast with him every morning. The family's best memories of Richard will be the many years spent at the campground with family and friends (and a cold one).

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marchele, and his parents. He is survived by his children Nick (Britney) Howard, Frank (Tammy) Sposeto III, Tiffiny (Kent) Poage, Alexander Sposeto,; grandchildren Sydney, Hutch, Nixon, Jordan (Kim), Darline, Alexa (Logan), Virginia, Frank IV (Mollie), Breanna (Antonio), Kennady, Cassidy, Alexander, Heaven, and Grace; three great grandchildren, Paden, Addison, and Emerson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, cousins, and those who were special to him, including a former daughter in law, Jennifer (Etnier) Maxwell, and close friends Norman and Jo Rockey and their family.

Visitation will be held Monday February 14th at Brooks Funeral Care, located at 7975 University Blvd, Clive, from 10:00-11:00 a.m. and the Service will begin at 11 a.m.
