Inez M. Troup was born in Madison county, Iowa, on August 9, 1876, the daughter of Henry and Anna Bonney; she was the oldest of six children. At the age of eight, she was taken into the home of Rev. and Mrs. Moses Deardorff at Yale, in Guthrie county, Iowa, where she received her education.

At the age of 23, she was united in marriage of Mark M. Isenberger at Truro, Iowa, who passed away on Sept. 30, 1940. To this union were born eight children, all of whom are living, namely: Harold Isenberger of Ottumwa; Mrs. Mabel Seymour of Des Moines; Mrs. Queenie Gracey of Oak Park, Ill.; John J. Isenberger of near Indianola; Mrs. Alice Morris of Fillmore, Saskatchewan, Canada; Mrs. Pearl Shumaker of Clinton; Mrs. Katheryn Stoneking of Galesburg, Ill. and Sargeant Harley Isenberger, who is now serving his second enlistment with the United States Air Corps at Wiesbaden, Germany.

Mrs. Troup passed away suddenly at her home in Maxwell, upon her return from church services on Sunday evening, Oct. 30, at the age of 73 years, two months, and 21 days.

In addition to her immediate family, she is survived by her husband, Martin H. Troup, to whom she was united on June 13, 1947, one step-daughter, Olive A. Greeley, of Wrightwood, California, one sister, Mrs. Marie Feist of Portland, Ore.; one brother, James Bonney of St. Charles, Iowa; 15 grandchildren and four great grandchildren, a number of nieces and nephews and a host of friends in each of the communities in which she resided.

She was a member of the First Methodist church at Maxwell, and the Order of the Eastern Star.

Members of the Eastern Star attended in a body and rendered their ritualistic service. Burial was in the Maxwell cemetery.
