Patricia “Pat” Lee Cummins

Patricia “Pat” Lee Cummins, 80, passed away on January 21, 2022. She was born on August 18, 1941 to George and Vesta “Hamblin” Goudie in Sharpsburg, Iowa. Up until the 8th grade, she attended country school on her dad’s farm in Bedford, Iowa.

Pat was a hard worker. She worked many job starting as a certified nursing aid and a med aid for over 10 years in Winterset then worked for Orchard Place for 4 years. She later worked for Bankers Trust then continued working while she was in the nursing facility, selling Avon.

Family was everything for Pat. Every time someone visited her, they would never leave her house empty handed whether it was as simple as an orange or banana. Pat loved to bake whether it was pumpkin or banana bread. She also loved to play cards at the community center.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Ted; children Brenda, Richard (Kim), and Brian (Brenda); siblings Imogene, Virginia (Doug), Sandra (Allen), and Dean (Ann); and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings Beverly and Shirley.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 27th, 2022 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home & Crematory.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be donated to the American Diabetes Association in loving memory of Pat.
