Doug “Hoss” Fuller

Doug “Hoss” Fuller, 54, of Dexter, IA passed away on January 14th, 2022, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Doug was born on May 23rd, 1967, in Marshalltown, IA. At one month old, he was adopted by LeRoy and Maxine Fuller of Earlham. Doug loved to help his dad out on the farm he grew up on outside of Earlham. At age nine, Doug found his passion for driving the tractor.

After graduating from Earlham High School, he attended Southwestern Community in Creston for mechanics. Later in life, he drove trucks for Sorensen, Niece, Rhoades, and most recently, Des Moines Asphalt.

In May 2004, Doug was united in marriage to Renee Corbin and became a stepfather to Matt and Tyler. This marriage later ended in divorce, but they both remained good friends.

During his younger years, Doug enjoyed hunting, fixing up cars, and riding his motorcycle. He also loved cooking, smoking meats, and spending time with friends and family, especially his sidekick, Bindi, his Australian Shepherd.

Doug was preceded in death by his father, LeRoy, nephew, Daniel Jones, grandparents Rex and Winona Fuller, and Jess and Doris Nelson.

He is survived by his mother, Maxine, brother Les (Tracy) Fuller, sisters Marcia Link and Sherie (Jason) Ewers, and his nieces and nephews, Samantha, Grant, Roselaure, and Kenson Fuller, Hannah, Hailey, Hope, and Heidi Link, and Jacob and Olivia Ewers.

A gathering of family & friends will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. Saturday, January 22, 2022, at the Earlham Community Building in Earlham. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday followed by a luncheon at the community building. Burial will take place in Earlham City Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to “Adult and Teen Challenge”.
