L. CRAWFORD - In Crawford township, June 2d.
Mrs. Lucinda Crawford, an old settler of Madison County.

She was born in Ohio Oct. 28, 1822, was married April 24, 1844, was left a widow in the care of seven children June 11, 1869. Being a woman of strong mind and great vitality, had borne up under physical debility and business difficulties known only to the lone widow.

Six of those children live to feel the pangs of separation, and with a large circle of friends morn their loss, which is her gain.

She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church. She died in peace, leaving an additional testimony to the sufficiency of redeeming grace.
