Benjamin F. Whitworth Succumbs At Clarinda

Body Returned to Macksburg Last Friday For Funeral

Benjamin F. Whitworth, a native of this community, died at the state hospital at Clarinda on July 6. He was 66 years old.

Mr. Whitworth was born near Macksburg on December 24, 1871, the son of Robert and Philinda Whitworth. His nearest surviving relatives are two brothers, Byron and Reuben.

On December 1, 1910, he was thrown from a horse and sustained injuries which necessitated sending him to the hospital at Clarinda.

Funeral services were conducted last Friday from the Macksburg Methodist church, in charge of the pastor, the Rev. M. D. Summerbell. Burial was made in the Moon cemetery.
