Page 5A, Column 2Kenneth Robert Winebrenner, 83, left for his heavenly home on Oct. 18, 2021, in the arms of his loving wife of 64 years, Fay. In the last few days he had been surrounded by family. Services were held Friday, Oct. 22, at McLaren’s Resthaven Chapel.
Kenny was born Sept. 3, 1938, to Marshall and Eunice Winebrenner and spent his early years in Guthrie Center, Iowa, moving to Peru, Iowa, in 1953. He attended and graduated from Winterset High School, where he met his future wife.
Kenny and Fay married in 1957 and spent the first three years of their life together at Camp Pendleton, Calif., where he was serving with the USMC. Upon completion of his service they returned to Iowa to grow their family. Kenny retired from Standard Forwarding and was a 30-year Teamster member. He was also a member of the Galilee Baptist Church, where he served the Lord faithfully for many years.
Kenny is survived by his wife, Fay; son, Steve (Karen); two daughters, Sue (Blake Bauer) and Lori; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, Richard (Jean); and many extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents and older brother, Burdette.
Burial was in Resthaven Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Galilee Baptist Church or Mercy Hospice.
