October 2021Janet Sue Huffer, daughter of Walter Trullinger and Lucy Cathern Kite was born August 29, 1937 in Spencer, Iowa and passed from this life Friday, October 1, 2021, surrounded by family at her home near St. Charles, Iowa at 84 years of age.
Janet graduated from Northboro High School with the class 1955. She then attended Clarinda Junior College, graduating in 1957. She graduated from the Iowa School of Beauty in 1959. Janet was united in marriage to Lloyd Gene Huffer on September 5, 1959 in Shenandoah, Iowa. They were blessed with five children, Tressa, Sonny, Malinda, Melissa, and Tim. She was a devoted wife and loving mother.
Janet was a selfless caretaker who loved her family and having everyone together. Her strength and compassion shined in her kind and patient displays of unconditional love. Janet enjoyed the outdoors, all animals and living creatures, flowers, trees and nature. She was able to live independently on her farm until the end of life and was blessed to be home at the time of her passing. The family wishes to thank EveryStep Hospice for the compassionate accommodation that made her final wishes possible.
Those relatives who preceded Janet in death were her husband, Lloyd Huffer, parents, Walter Trullinger and Lucy Kite, and her siblings.
Janet leaves to cherish her memory; daughter, Tressa (Jerry) Scrivner of St. Charles, IA, son, Sonny (Sharee) Huffer of Winterset, IA, daughter, Malinda Palmer of Indianola, IA, daughter, Melissa (John) Linhart of Weldon, IA, son, Tim (Kerry) Huffer of Truro, IA, grandchildren, Ryan, Eric, Annie, Hallie, Emma, Josh, Carol, Mary, Jonathan, Holden, Harmon, and Harlow, great grandchildren, Addison, Blake, Myles, Gracelyn and Emmet as well as other relatives and many friends.
Graveside services will be held at the Peru Cemetery, Monday October 4, 2021 at 1:30 pm with Terry Roberts officiating.
Her family will meet at the Kale Funeral Home in TRURO Monday, for an hour prior to going to the cemetery.
