Bill Gibson

Bill Gibson, 78 of Lorimor, passed into eternity on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at the Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 2, 2021 at the Word of Life Family Church in Winterset. Please consider memorials in memory of Bill to EveryStep Hospice, St. Jude Children’s Hospital, and Shriners Hospitals for Children.

Bill K. Gibson was born at Hand Hospital in Shenandoah, Iowa on September 30, 1942, the son of Everett and Ruth (Blessing) Gibson. He married Marcia McFarlin on June 19, 1964. He graduated from Winterset High School in 1960, graduated from Northwest Missouri State University and received his Masters from Creighton University. He was a lifetime resident of Madison County and was a trustee for Monroe Township. Bill was a school teacher for seven years and then starting farming. He was a dedicated member and volunteer at the Word of Life Family Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Ruth (Blessing) Gibson.

Bill is survived by his wife, Marcia Gibson of Lorimor; sons, Brian (Annette) Gibson, Bill (Shelly) Gibson, and Jay (Tawyne) Gibson; daughter, Shawn Gibson; brothers, Fred, Richard and Bob Gibson; 7 grandchildren, Keylie, Britton, Sarah, Kylie, Tyler, Tayia, and Bryner; and 7 great-grandchildren, Easton, Skylar, Brooks, Sawyer, Harper, Maddox, and Alexander.
