One of the most horrible accidents that have been called to note this year occurred in the north part of the county to the little babe of Mr. and Mrs. Got (sic) who live near the Dallas county line. The mother had set the coffee pot on the hearth and was attending to some other work when the baby, a bright little child about a year old, caught the handle and poured the boiling contents over itself. It was badly scalded and in spite of the medical attendance which was promptly given the little one died the next morning after suffering untold agony. The accident occurred Friday evening.
