Mrs. Lenan, mother to Mrs. Martin McNamara of Union township, died ten days ago, at the home of her daughter. Mrs. McNamara (sic) died at the advanced age 'tis said. She was one-hundred and three or one hundred and four years old at the time of her death. Her remains were taken to Des Moines for interment.

Transcriber's note: Transcribed as published, the deceased's surname is "Linnane" per the daughter's obituary. The second sentence should say "Mrs. Linnane" rather than "Mrs. McNamara". No other record of this person has been found.
