In 1876, Mrs. Brown was converted in Patterson, Madison county, Iowa and became a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church of which she has been a consistent member ever since. Her’s has truly been a Christian life, devoted to the service of the Master. None knew her but to respect her noble and generous character.
Last April she partially lost her eyesight and since that time she has been a great sufferer, being greatly afflicted. She has been constantly under the care of physicians, who have done all in the power of human skill for the recovery of health and sight, but without avail.
