Larry F. Chipp

Winterset - Larry Francis Chipp passed away on July 4, 2021 at Taylor House in Des Moines, IA. He was born October 8, 1949 to Lewis and Jenita J. (Handley) Chipp in Osceola, IA. After joining their lives in 1973, Larry was united in marriage to Elizabeth (Knipp) Chipp in August of 1984.

Larry will be greatly missed by his wife, Elizabeth; six children, Sherri GoodVoiceFlute, Jim (Theresa) Chipp, Larry A. Chipp, Shawn (Amanda) Chipp, Jennifer Routh, and Andrew (Shantel) Chipp; siblings, Jenita Chipp, Richard (Jackie) Chipp, Rick (Carla) Chipp, and Donna (Brian) King; 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; and many brothers and sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Martina (Chipp) Wilcox, brothers, Ivan L. Chipp and Terry D. Chipp, grandson, Anthony (Tony) Chipp, and former wives, Lois M. Chipp and Judy Chipp.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 9, 2021, at Hamilton's on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines, with visitation taking place from 12 noon to 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Glendale Cemetery.
