Pat (Diane) Pottorff, 70, of Winterset, died Monday, June 28, 2021, at the Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Friday, July 2, 2021, at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home Winterset Chapel. Family will greet friends from 1 to 2 PM on Friday at the funeral home. Her final resting place will be in the Winterset Cemetery at a later date.

Patricia Diane Pottorff was born on March 21, 1951, in Winterset, Iowa, the daughter of Frank and Eletha (DeBord) Rudolf. She lived most of her life in Madison County, sharing time between Winterset and Truro. She was a graduate of I-35 High School. On June 30, 1991, she married Merle Pottorff.

Pat had been a bartender and bar owner. She was also a secretary and a homemaker. She enjoyed her gardening and feeding her birds.

She is survived by her sons, Todd (Becky Hall) Brown of Creston and Merle (Dustie) Pottorff of Urbandale; daughters, Melissa (Don) McKean of Adel, Judy Pottorff (Jerry Zimmer) of Kelley, and Michele Staker (Burton Hauge) of Des Moines; brother, Craig Rudolf (Kim Utsler) of Peru; sisters, Doris (Larry) Tracy of Clive and Debra (Ron) Hager of Winterset; fourteen grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Eletha (DeBord) Rudolf; husband, Merle Pottorff; brothers, Frank A. Rudolf and Robert Rudolf; and sisters, Judith A. Rudolf and Helen Allsup.
