ARMSTRONG – Services for Marcella Smith, 74, of Apache Junction, Ariz. will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Fenton with the Rev. Vernon Peverill officiating. Interment will be in the Earlham Cemetery, Earlham. She died Monday, Sept. 5, 1994 at Valley Vue Care Center at Armstrong.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Armstrong.
She was born Jan 11, 1920 at Winterset, the daughter of Clark and Edna (Smith) Sabin, and attended country schools. She married Wayne Jones in 1939 and Clifford Smith in 1964. She worked as a desk clerk at Holiday Inn for 25 years. After retirement she moved to Apache Junction, Ariz. She had been a resident of Valley Vue Care Center in Armstrong since June, 1994.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Gordon (Connie) Burt of Fenton; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Edna Harris of Sutherland and Frances Smith of Phoenix.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Clifford, two brothers and three sisters.
