White Kirk, 91, of Bull Shoals died last Wednesday at the Leisure Lodge Nursing Home in Mountain Home.

A retired farmer, Mr. Kirk was a member of the Bull Shoals Methodist Church and Masonic Lodge 437 of Grand River, Iowa. Mr. Kirk was born Sept. 28, 1890, at Peru, Iowa. He was married Feb. 21, 1917, at Osceola, Iowa, and his wife Wilma preceded him in death in 1975. He also was preceded in death by his parents Benjamin and Jane White Kirk, one son, three grandchildren, five brothers and five sisters. A former resident of Van Wert, Iowa, he had lived at Bull Shoals since 1961.

Survivors include two daughters, Lois Barnett and Doris Griffin, both of Bull Shoals: two sisters, Margaret Thurman of Henderson, Nev., and Susie Short of Winterset, Iowa; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Services were Saturday at the Bull Shoals Methodist Church with the Rev. Sam Williams officiating. A Masonic service was conducted Friday in the Rose Chapel of the Kirby and Family Funeral Directors of Bull Shoals. Interment was in the Newton Flat Cemetery. Pallbearers were Stanley Barnett, Mickey Griffin, Randy Kirk, Ken Hurst, Dan Jouvenaux and Bill Self.
