Wm Crow who suffered a stroke of apoplexy a week ago, died at his home last Friday and was buried at Linn Grove Sunday. The services were conducted by Rev. Hiller, pastor of the church.
Mr. Crow was 71 years of age. He leaves a widow and one son to mourn his loss.
________________________Excerpted from the death notice of Arch Holmes on page 1 of the same newspaper: “His war record shows service in Co. F of the 39th Iowa, and he is the fourth Civil War veteran to pass away within a week, James Kale, William Crow and James Kirk being the other three.”

William Crow died at his home south of Bevington Friday, June 29 of apoplexy. He has a stroke Sunday morning and never regained consciousness.
The funeral was held Sunday, July 1 at Linn Grove and the body laid to rest in the cemetery near by. He was 71 years old.
