Vernie Samuel Krell, of Boden, Ill., a former resident of Bettendorf, died in the Moline Public hospital at 5:25 a. m. today following a heart attack.
Mr. Krell was born Nov. 2, 1893, in Winterset, Ia., and had been employed as a millwright at the International Harvester Co. He married Agnes Crose in Winterset Nov. 15, 1914. Mr. Krell was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist church.
Surviving are his wife, a son, Vernon A., of 312 East Twelfth street; a daughter, Miss Billie Walton, of Burlington; four grandchildren; two brothers, Earl Krell of Webster City, Ia., and Roy Krell of Keokuk, Ia.; a sister, Mrs. Pearl Toten of Seattle, Wash. His parents and a grandson preceded him in death.
The body was taken to the McGinnis funeral home.
