JAMES ALEXANDER, 90, AFTER LENGTH ILLNESS

James Grant Alexander, 90, of 940 Hastings, died at 4:00 o’clock this morning at the Schwartz Nursing Home here following an illness of two years. He had been a resident of Delta for about 50 years.

Mr. Alexander was born Aug. 19, 1863 in Missouri. He married Fannie Sheldon in Madison County, Iowa, on Jan. 31, 1889. His wife survives. He was a farmer and fruit grower in this area. He was a member of the Church of God.

Surviving in addition to his wife are four sons, Roy of Grand Junction, Ross of Baker, Ore., Carl of Delta and Lloyd of Nampa, Idaho; and one daughter, Mrs. Beulah Cleveland of Redwood City, Calif. Two daughters died in infancy. Twenty Grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild also survive.

The body is at the Delta Mortuary pending funereal arrangements, which are incomplete.
