Page 9, Column 6Alfred L. Wood of 366 E. Pearl street, Pomona, passed away in San Dimas at 6:35 o'clock Saturday evening after a long period of failing health.
Mr. Wood was born February 14, 1862, in Vermont, and came to California 22 years ago from Des Moines, Iowa. He has resided In Pomona since coming to California.
Mr. Wood was telegraph news editor of The Pomona Bulletin in the 1920s. He was a member of the First Baptist church.
There are three sons who survive Mr. Wood, Lester L. Wood and Joe A. Wood of Pomona, and Glenn Wood of San Bernardino; and one sister, Mrs. Leib Thompson, of Denver, Colo. There are also two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held in Todd & Reeves chapel at 3:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon. The Rev. Harry G. Earle, pastor of Trinity Methodist church, will officiate. Interment will be made in Pomona cemetery.
