Services for Kate McElwee, 83, of 5608 S.W. Ninth St., who died of a heart attack Thursday at Mercy Hospital, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Christ the King Catholic Church, with burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, west of Cummings.

A Pocahontas native, Miss McElwee lived in Churchville before moving to Des Moines 40 years ago.

Survivors include two brothers, John and William, both of Des Moines, and four sisters, Mrs. Alice Lose, Mrs. Rose Croat, Mrs. Margaret Brommel and Mrs. Sadie Meyers, all of Des Moines.

A rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Caldwell-Brien-Robbins Funeral Home.
