Services for Daniel P. Gavin, 76, of 732 Thirty-ninth St., who died of a heart ailment Tuesday at University Hospitals in Iowa City, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Dunn’s Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Hartman Cemetery at Truro.

Mr. Gavin was a native of Henry County. He lived in Des Moines 45 years and had been an automotive parts salesman.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; a daughter, Donna Arnold of Union Lake, Mich.; two sisters, Elizabeth Guest and Mary Leahy, both of Ottumwa; four brothers, Max, Larry and Paul, all of Cleveland, Ohio, and Bernard of Cedar Rapids, and two grandchildren.

The family suggests memorial contributions to St. Augustin’s Catholic Church or to the St. Vincent DePaul Society.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. today.
