Leroy Smith, one of the early pioneers of Warren county, died at his home near Prole, at 12 o’clock Tuesday night, having been stricken with paralysis on Sunday. He was well know in this county.
He is survived by his wife, formerly Miss Flora Bond and two children; also four sons by his first marriage, two of whom ar now in the service; one at Camp Dodge and one in France.
At this hour, the funeral arrangements had not yet been announced.

Leroy Smith, formerly of Winterset, died at his home a mile from Prole Tuesday night, the result of a stroke of paralysis Sunday afternoon while he was at the barn.
Mr. Smith lived in Winterset several years, going back to the farm on which he was born near Prole seventeen years ago.
