Infant Dies While Going to Hospital

Wayne Seams, 14-day-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne D. Seams, St. Charles, died here Tuesday afternoon following a visit to a Des Moines physician’s office.

The child, taken to the doctor by his aunt, Mrs. Esther Patterson, 2829 E. Twenty-fourth St., died en route to Mercy hospital after becoming ill in the aunt’s car.

Dr. A. E. Shaw, coroner, performed an autopsy late Tuesday to determine the cause of the infant’s death.
